Mary Ann Pozzi of King City, 89 passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005
She was born Mary Ann Lombardi on August 22, 1915, on the family ranch in Coburn. She attended grammar school in Coburn and Notre Dame High School in Watsonville.
She married Emilio Pozzi in 1933. Together they open the family business, Pozzi's Stampede in 1934 where they served many fine meals and drinks to many friends along the way. Their motto was, "You are a stranger here but once".
A devoted Catholic , she was a longtime parishioner of her beloved St. John's Catholic Church and as Catholic Daughter helped to clean and decorate the church and worked on many parish dinners in her younger years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Emelio Pozzi, parents Charles and Adeline Lombardi; sister Margaret Adami; brothers Charles and Joe Lombardi and grandson Douglas Pozzi.
She is survived by her children; Emilio Pozzi Jr. and his wife Barbara, Jerry Pozzi, Richard Pozzi, Greg Pozzi and his wife Ileen, and daughter Barbara Ann Pozzi. Also brother John Lombardi; grandchildren Josie Mae Lisk, Andy Pozzi and several nieces and nephews.
