Isaac P. Lyons
Isaac P. Lyons died at his home in Plaski, Jackson county, Tuesday April 16, 1907, aged 79 years
Mr. Lyons was born in Walworth, Wayne county, N. Y., and came with his parents to Michigan in 1844, settling at Hudson, where they made their first home. It was here he obtained his education. November 20, 1848, he was married to Miss Anna M. Holden in Albion, and made his home there two years. They experienced religion at the age of nineteen years and joined the Free Will Baptist church, and had since remained faithful. In 1850 they removed to Scipio, but lived there only a short time when they removed to the farm which had since been their home. For fifty-two years they enjoyed life together with their family here, six children coming to bless their home--four girls and two boys. They joined the M. E. church at mosherville, where Mr. Lyon was class-leader for several years. His life was active and chereful, and he was always a kind husband and a living father to his children.
The funeral was held at the church Thursday afternoon, April 18, and the remains were laid to rest in the Mosherville Cemetery, Rev. Roy Husted conducting the services.
