Sylvia K. Archer, 78, of 113 Monroe St., Paden City, died Friday at Sistersville General Hospital.

She was born in Tyler County, a daughter of the late Alex and Florence Carpenter Folger. She was a member of the Paden City Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Betty Fetty of Sistersville, Mrs. June Dally of Paden City, Mrs. Margaret Kirkwood of Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Jean Wilson of Beallsville, Ohio; four sons, Stan Archer of Paden City, Loren Archer of Middlebourne, Glenn Archer of Point Pleasant and Elliot Archer of Lawrenceville, N.J., three brothers, Layman Folger and Robert Folger, both of Sistersville, and Brady Folger of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs.. Alice Wells of Blackville, Okla., Mrs.. Eva Henry of Pryor, Okla., Mrs. Fonda Heintzman of Sistersville and Mrs. Helen DeBolt of Fairview; 25 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Archer, in 1944.

The funeral will be at 1:3 p.m. Sunday, at the Eckels Funeral Home, Sistersville, with Dr. Harley Bailey and Pastor Donald Matheney officiating. Interment will be in the Archer's Chapel Cemetery.
