Mrs. Mattie Williams, 56, of R. 2, New Holstein, died Tuesday afternoon at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, after a lingering illness. A Lifelong resident of the area, the former Evangeline Kienbaum was born on March 2, 1919 in the Town of Schleswig, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Cutrey Kienbaum. She attended Kiel grade schools.
On August 3, 1940 she was married to Mr. Williams in Chilton. She was employed at the Chilton Metal Products Co. from 1969 to 1974.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Lester of St. Louis, Robert of R. 2 New Holstein and Thomas of New Holstein; two grandchildren; six brothers, Jerome, Harvey, Walter, Willard and Arno Kienbaum, all of Kiel, and Roland of R.2 New Holstein; two sisters, Miss Elaine Kienbaum and Mrs. Henry Wittrock, both of Kiel.
Private family funeral services will be held Friday at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein with the Rev. Arland Dwelle, pastor of Grace Chapel Assembliees of God, New Holstein, officiatin.
Burial will be in the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Sheboygan.
