He was born, March 3, 1916 in the Town of Cato, son of the late Frederick and Mary (Kattreh) Kienbaum.
He attended Kiel schools.
Arno was a veteran of the US Air Force, proudly serving his country from 1942-1946.
On July 19, 1947 he married Marie Wendling Balde in Winneconne.
Arno had been employed at the former Leverenz Shoe Company in New Holstein, retiring in June 1979.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marie of Kiel; two sons, David (Donna) Kienbaum, Daniel (Barbara) Kienbaum, both of Kiel; two daughters, Dorothy (Daniel) Klemme, Kiel, Ruth (Robert) Arnold, Greer, SC; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by one brother, Willard (Isabell) Kienbaum, Elkhart Lake; one sister-in-law, Pearl Kienbaum, Kiel, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Wittrock, Evangeline Williams and Elaine Kienbaum; and four brothers, Walter, Harvey, Jerome and Roland Kienbaum.
Funeral services for Arno will be held April 30, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 387 Cemetery Road, Kiel with Rev. David Laabs officiating. Entombment will take place in Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.
