Lois Parramore McPherson, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Warren J. McPherson. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday, Nov. 1, at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial at the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 31, at Independent Funeral Home in Quincy (850-875-1529). Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308; Woodland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 119, Gretna, FL 32332; or Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund, 284 McCall Bridge Road, Quincy, FL 32351. She was a member of Woodland Presbyterian Church. Other survivors include her son, Charles McPherson (Louise) of Winter Haven; a brother, Angus Parramore (Betty) of Quincy; a sister, Helen Betts of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Hattie Parramore of Quincy; two grandchildren, Douglas McPherson of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Shannon McManus (Greg) of Lakeland, Fla.; and one great-grandchild, Allie McManus.
