The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Heffner Funeral, Chapel and Crematory Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery, with full military honors by York County Veteran's Honor Guard. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Bruggeman was born April 23, 1923, in York. He was the son of the late Paul F. and Pearl C. (Spangler) Bruggeman. He was a foreman at Caterpillar in York, retiring after 31 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in York and Hanover Street Rod Association, and a former member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Bruggeman also is survived by two sons, Barry Bruggeman of York and Paul R. Bruggeman of Dover; a daughter, Connie B. Lapes of York; four grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Stambaugh and Dorothy Reiver, both of York; and nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Ruth Fieldhouse. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.
