Mrs. Eleanora Biessener, 51, a retired Sheboygan beauty salo operator, died Saturday at Good Shepherd Nursing Home at 619 Huron Ave. She had been a patient there for the past two months.
Born April 23, 1909 in Manitowoc County, a daughter of the late Alois and Emma Meyer, she received her elementary education at St. Gregory School in St. Nazianz.
She studied beauty culture in New Orleans, La., and then operated the Adorable Beauty Shop in Sheboygan for many years. Later she operated a beauty salon in West Allis.
Ill health forced her retirement three years ago. Her marriage to Peter F Biennener was performed at Holy Name Church by the late Rev. Phillip Dreis on September 28, 1940. Her husband died November 4, 1944. Mrs. Biessener was a member of Holy Name Parish, the Third Order of St. Francis and the Apostolate of Suffering.
Survivors are three brothers, John Meyer, Milwaukee, Isadore of Osman, and Ray A Meyer, Sheboygan and five sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Loretta) Kautzer, St. Nazianz, Mrs. R. J. (Rose) Prahl, Cleveland, Mrs. J. B. (Marie) Baumhardt, Evanston Ill., Mrs. John (Clementine) Nagurski, West Allis, and Mrs. William (Bernice) Callahan, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Holy Name Church, following brief family rites at Gerends Funeral Home. The Rev. Anthony J Knackert, pastor will be the celebrant of the requiem high mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
