Edna Griffith, 89, of Huntsville, passed away October 23, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Scott County in Oneida.

She was preceded by her parents, Ewell and Melvina Cross Lowe; her husband, J.C. Griffith; three brothers: Jake, Raymond, and Virgil Lowe; and nine sisters: Edith Burress, Ethel Lowe, Minnie Cook, Helen Sharp, Belle Anderson, Kizzie Owens, Thelita Owens, Bertha Welch, and June Welch.

She was a member of Riverview Missionary Baptist Church for more than 30 years.

She is survived by one son, Ernest Griffith and wife, Candice, of Indiana; one daughter, Vivian Massengale of Helenwood; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, several special nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted October 25, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Roger Cecil and Bro. Jeff Davis officiating. Music was provided by Lloyd and Arnold Stephens. Graveside service was conducted October 26, at Riverview Cemetery in the Smokey Junction community.
