Lutheria C. Hartman
Lutheria C. Hartman, age 89, of 11305 C.R. 26, Findlay, died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at her residence. She was born on March 21, 1920 in Jenera, Ohio to the late Alpha E. and Zelma C. (Grieser) Hartman.
On May 19, 1940, she married Howard E. Hartman and he died on March 21, 1987. She is survived by 2 sons: David E. (Mary E.) Hartman of Jackson Township and Dennis K. (Rebecca) Hartman of North Ridgeville, Ohio as well as 2 daughters: Margaret A. (Edwin, deceased) McCandless of Columbus, Ohio and Mary E. (J. Michael) Slough of Findlay. She has 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Richard Wilson of Rapid River, Michigan and a sister: Mildred Boehm of rural Dola. Lutheria was a homemaker and had been the head cook at the former Johnny Appleseed Restaurant in Arlington. She was a member of Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, where for many years she was in charge of the funeral dinners and the sewing group. She was always a hard worker who enjoyed sewing, baking and traveling. The family will be having private services, which are being handled by CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington. Pastor Steven Ramsey will officiate and interment will be in Bishop Cemetery in Eagle Township. The family has requested that memorials be given to either the Lutheran Worldwide Ministries or to the charity of the donor's choice.
