LITZINGER – James D., 78, Patton, died Oct. 29, 2009. Born May 17, 1931, in Elder Township, son of Warren and Mary Jane (Nagle) Litzinger. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Margaret Paterno and Rosemarie Bailey. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Freda M. (Baker) Litzinger; children, David A. Litzinger, Patton; Warren D. Litzinger, Lewistown; and Jay C. Litzinger, married to Rochelle L. Lallemand, Patton; grandchildren, Eric; April, wife of Jeromie Simmons; and Joshua, Ryan and Breanna Litzinger; and great-grandchildren, Bree, Lana and Kade. Brother of Bernard Litzinger, Northern Cambria; Patricia Stoltz, Fairview, Pa.; Roy Litzinger, Patton; and Janet Baker, Patton. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Member of VFW John White Post, Patton and Disabled American Veterans. Retired from Bethlehem Mines and member of UMWA. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Patton.
