Chris McGill, age 40, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009, at his residence in Lake Charles after a 15 year battle with cancer. Chris is now at peace. He was a chef. Preceding him in death was his father, Bill McGill. Survivors include his loving son, Gabe McGill of Lake Charles; his mother, Hendrid "Bea" McGill of Lake Charles; a sister, JoBeth Bourgeois and husband, Tommy of Lake Charles; a niece, Nikki Champion and husband, Mike of Grand Lake; his maternal grandmother, Ena Adams of Lake Charles; and many wonderful friends. His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Johnson Funeral Home. Father Emanuel Tanu will officiate. A visitation will be held that day from 10 a.m. until time of service. Cremation will follow.
