1913 – 2004
Dollie Mariucci, 91, of Chanute, Kansas passed away Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Tara Gardens in Iola, Kansas.
She was born May 3, 1913 in Radley, Kansas the daughter of Frank & Josephine Pichard.
Mrs. Mariucci was employed at the Burlington Overall Factory, when she came to Chanute in 1951. Then she worked at H. K. Porter in Chanute, Kansas, for 20 years, retiring from H. K. Porter in 1975.
In her early years she enjoyed playing softball in Pittsburg, Kansas for Williams Jewelry and she enjoyed fishing. Later Mrs. Mariucci enjoyed bowling. She bowled in tournaments and loved to dance. She also liked to crochet.
Survivors include, a daughter, Betty Cook of Savonburg, Kansas; a sister, Zimmer Willemetz of Frontenac: six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren: nephew and a niece also survive.
She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Brent Cook, two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004 at the Elsmore Cemetery, Elsmore, Kansas with Pastor Lloyd Houk officiating.
Family will receive friends Wednesday evening between the hours of 7:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association and may be left at the funeral home.
