Services for Grace Carter Loper Lewis, 92, of Flint are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Eubank Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Billy Daniels and Bro. Steve Pelz officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.

She passed away Nov. 4, 2009, in Flint.

Mrs. Lewis was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Pruitt, to Daniel Boone Carter and Bertie Guinn Carter.

She was a member of Flint Baptist Church in Bullard. Mrs. Lewis lived most of her life in East Texas. She enjoyed quilting, painting and ceramics. She was an avid reader having read through the Bible many times. Her smile and great attitude will be greatly missed.Surviving are two daughters, Gail and Herk Wall, of Athens; and Sarah and Tom Oxford, of Flint; three sons, Joe and Jeannette Loper, of Athens; Sammy and Cora Loper, of Athens; and Mike and Onna Loper, of New Meadows, Idaho; three step-daughters, Janelle and Charles Seaburn, of Eustace; Judy and Dale Groom, of Eustace; and Mindy Anderson, of Dallas; five step-sons, Henry and Martha Lewis, of Canton; Darrell and Karen Lewis, of McKinney; Harold and Hon Lewis, of Dallas; Macky and Linda Lewis, of Eustace; and Donald Lewis, of Athens; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren; and 17 step great-grandchildren; two brothers, D.B. Carter; and Bill Carter, both of Grand Saline; and sister, Myrtie Griffin, of Grand Saline.

Grace was preceded in death by two husbands, J.P. Loper and Woodrow Lewis; granddaughter, Stephanie Loper; and two brothers, LeRoy and Bob Carter.Pallbearers are Henry Lewis, Macky Lewis, Donny Lewis, Dean Loper, Ed Oxford and Trey Pelz.
