Lorenzo was the son of Thomas and Hannah (Daniels) Aldrich. on February 7, 1837 Lorenzo married Nancy McCloud. While the family was living in Dundee Township, Kane Co., IL Lorenzo purchased Sections 7, 8 and 64 in Schroeder Cemetery (on February 26, 1845). Although he purchased these three lots, it appears that neither he nor any of his family members are buried there. By December 3, 1854 the family had moved to Hazel Green Twp., Delaware Co., IA and they continued to build their family.
Lorenzo may have had two brothers: Ananias and George.
