The Maury County native had retired from the Columbia Power System after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Shannon Gibson; a son, Billy S. Gibson of Columbia; three sisters, Mr. J. C. (Dorothy) Brown, Mrs. R. F.(Gladys) Allen, Mrs. Alton (Mildred) Pickle, all of Columbia; two brothers, Brown and Oakley Gibson, both of Coumbia; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Jeff Brown, Douglas Pickle, David Gibson, Terry Gibson, H. L. Gibson, Bobby Allen, Eddie Harris, John McMinnis, Charlie Hood and Jimmy Shannon.
Honorary pallbearers are past and present employees of Columbia Power System.
