OBITUARY – Amal Koory
Schuyler – Amal (Mel) Koory, 72, of Schuyler, died Thursday in Schuyler Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Koory was born on Dec. 2, 1909in Norton, Kan., but lived most of his life in Schuyler.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Frances Frye, of California; one son, Jerry of California; one granddaughter; one brother, Joe Koory of Billings, Mont.; two sisters, Anita Bennett and Fetna Britt, both of California; one stepmother, Flora Koory of Schuyler.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Schuyler, the Rev. John P. Downey officiating. Burial will be in Schuyler Cemetery. Rosaries will be said today at 3 p.m. for the Study Club and 8 p.m. for the parish in Kucera-Rozanek Chapel in Schuyler.
