OBITUARY - Mrs. Halstead died in California
Mrs. Madonna Koory Halstead, 65, former Schuyler resident, died July 31 in an Inglewood, Calif. Hospital
The Mass of the Resurrection was recited at 9 a.m. Aug. 3 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hawthorne, Calif. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. McCormick Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
The daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Koory was born Feb. 14, 1912. She graduated from Schuyler High School in 1930 and was also a graduate of St. Catherine's School of Nursing, Omaha.
Her husband, Lawrence Halstead, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Halstead is survived by three daughters, Diane Sanchez, Virginia Thoma and Anita Halstead. Other survivors include two brothers, Amal, Schuyler; Jose, California, and three sisters, Mrs. Jack (Leona) Pollard, Anita Carson and Mrs. James (Fetna) Britt, all of California.
