Robert was born in Falls County, TX on Nov. 9, 1909. He was named after his grandmother Robertine Strauss.
Robert was raised in Ben Arnold and helped with the family farm. When his father killed himself, Robert took over running the family farm for Grandmother Mary (Marie). After two years, he decided to get his own farm; he bought 75 acres in Sharp, TX. His mother, Augusta, lived with him until her death.
He retired to Rockdale, TX where he died in 1977.
