Diamond P. Leonard

Mrs. Diamond Palmer Leonard, a Reno resident 65 years, died today in a convolescent hospital at the age of 81. Born in Oakland, Calif., Oct. 7, 1888, she was married to J. Frank Leonard of Reno in Susanville, Calif., Jan. 4, 1905. The couple spent their first few weeks in Susanville, where Leonard had coached the local football team during the fall of 1904. In February they moved to Reno, where their home has been maintained ever since.

Prior to retirement in 1954 they resided at Galena Creek, where Leonard was game and fire warden for many years. Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Ernest F. Leonard of Altadena, Calif., Mrs. Wallie Warren and Leslie P. Leonard of Reno; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Blake M. Franklin of the First Baptist Church will conduct a private service in the Walton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Memorial Gardens.
