"Mrs. Ada Ottmer Dies Suddenly at Home at Klump
Mrs. Ada Ottmer, aged 44 years, wife of Orso Ottmer, prominent and highly esteemed resident of the Klump Community, passed away at her home in the Klump Community at six-o'clock Saturday evening. Death came suddenly as the result of a heart attack and was a great shock to her family and friends.
The deceased was born at Prairie Hill, September 25, 1889 and was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She was married November 26, 1908 to Orso Ottmer and spent her entire married life in the Klump Community, where she was known and loved by a wide circle of relatives and warm friends, who will deeply mourn her untimely death.
Besides her widower, Mrs. Ottmer is survived by two daughters Misses (name unintelligible due to scratched film) and Anita Ottmer both whom are school teachers, her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schulte of Klump; three brothers, Chas. Schulte of Independence, Otto Schulte of Brenham and Fred Schulte of New Ulm, and a sister Mrs. Wm. Meyer of Greenvine. Another brother preceded her to the grave.
Funeral services were held from the family residence at three o'clock Monday afternoon, with Leon Simank, funeral director, in charge of arrangements. Rev. C. Zieke, pastor of the Greenvine Lutheran Church, was the officiating minister, and she was laid to rest in the Greenvine Lutheran Cemetery near the Church.
Active pallbearers were Max Ueckert of Bellville, C. O. Schawe, Herman Stroech, Adolph Jurries, August Peters and Erich Jaster. All friends of the family were asked to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers.
A number of Brenham relatives and friends went to Klump to attend the obsequies of this sweet and lovable Christian woman."
