Elfant, Elsie Eugene Ann Arbor , MI Aged 71, passed away November 12, 2009 in Ann Arbor. Elsie was born January 14, 1938, to Paul and Dora Eugene. Elsie graduated from Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor and worked as an airline ticket agent in NYC prior to marrying and moving to Washington, DC. She returned to Ann Arbor after the death of her ex-husband. Known for her love of animals, Elsie always had a dog or cat companion. She is survived by her sister Ann Argyropoulos, brother-in-law Timotheos Mavrellis and nieces and nephews, Maria Argyropoulos, Paul Argyropoulos, Demi Mavrellis and Mr. and Mrs. Alexis and Lily Mavrellis. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Evy Eugene Mavrellis. Services will be at St. Nicolas Greek Orthodox on Monday, November 16 at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Bethlehem Cemetery where she will join three generations of the Eugene (Eugenides) family. In leiu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicolas Church or the ASPCA. Arrangements entrusted to the Muehlig Funeral Chapel.
