Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road, with the Rev. Randy McSpadden officiating.
Born in Kinston, N.C., Mrs. Bostic was the daughter of the late Zebulon Batts and the late Isabelle Manning Batts.
She was a charter member of Oakland Baptist Church, where she was very active in the women groups and young people activities. Mrs. Bostic worked for Rock Hill Hardware and Loves Jewelry. She loved to garden and was an excellent cook, especially in the area of pastries. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Bostic Sr. and her son, Charles M. Bostic.
Mrs. Bostic is survived by her sons, John A. Bostic Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Taylors and George T. Bostic and his wife, Martha, of York; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road in Rock Hill, S.C.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
