Homer Woman Passed Away at the Age of 90 Years

March 5, 1906--The funeral of Mrs. Mary Stites was held from the Methodist church in this place Saturday and many prominent people of Homer attended the services. Internment took place in the Homer Cemetery.
Mrs. Stites, famillary known as "Grandma Stites" died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Cannon, south of Homer, three miles, Friday. She was over 90 years of age and much of her life was spent in this place. She had been in poor health for some time due to her advanced age.
