Sadie PATRICK-CARTER was the d/o William Jefferson PATRICK + Ida Mae HENSLEY. Ida Mae died (also on May 1, 1920) when Sadie was only 10 years old. Sadie then quit school in the 3rd grade to help raise her "first" family of siblings. Sadie taught herself to read by reading the Bible and always went with a book in her hand. She married Elijah "Tommie" CARTER on 19 Oct 1929 in Ransom, Pike County, Kentucky. Their children are: James Thomas; Audrey Patricia(Smith); Billy Larry; Hershell Debrel; Gary Douglas; Donald Frederick and (me) Pamela Faye CARTER-MOEHLING.
