Ensign A. K. Morehouse, USN, was designated Naval Aviator #3214 in 1925. Graduated U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 1922. Commanded the escort carrier USS NATOMA BAY (CVE-62) during World War II and following the war, the battle carrier USS MIDWAY (CVB-41).

Rear Admiral Morehouse suffered a fatal heart attack while Commander, Naval Forces, Continental Air Defense Command.
