Plymouth – John Anhalt, 75, life-long resident of Sheboygan County, passed away Tuesday evening at his home, 129 S. Milwaukee Street, after an eight weeks' illness. The deceased was born Nov. 25, 1869, in town Rhine, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Anhalt, Sr. On May 22, 1894, he was united in marriage to Miss Agnes Kleefisch, who died May 5, 1938. For 30 years he was employed at the Schwartz Mfg. Co. and then worked for the Crescent Chair Co., retiring from active work in 1938.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Stanley Gilboy, Mrs. Lester Andrews, Mrs. Henry Pfeifer, Plymouth, and Mrs. Ervin Barber, Sheboygan; seven sisters, Mrs. John Grusse, Crystal Lake; Mrs. Isabel Meyer, Mrs. Alex Gerhard, Mrs. Ed Schad, St. Nazianz; Mrs. Fred Altenberger, Mrs. Charles Mahloch, Sheboygan; Mrs. John Bermke, Plymouth; one brother, Joseph Anhalt, St. Nazianz. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Anhalt was a member of St. John the Baptist church and affiliated with the Holy Name society and the Catholic Knights, Branch 107, Plymouth.
Services will be conducted Friday morning at St. John the Baptist church, the Rev. A. J. July officiating. Burial will be made in St. John's Catholic Cemetery
