Mrs. Achee is survived by one son, Tim Achee and his wife Brenda, of Hemphill, TX; three daughters, Sybil Maturin and her husband, Claude, both of New Iberia, Sandra Darby and her husband, Bernard, both of Franklin, Donna Dupre and her husband, Bryan, both of Lafayette; 23 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmet Joseph Achee; one son, Reid Achee; her parents, Joseph Pontiff and Lillian Pichoff Pontiff; two sisters, Mercedes Pontiff Hebert and Doris Pontiff Graykowski; one son-in-law, Paul Darby; two great great granddaughters, Kimberly Saucier and Elizabeth Cerna.
Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
She was a long time member of The St. Anne's Altar Society and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. For 17 years, she was the head dietician at Crowel Elementary School and lived her life in joy and prayer.
