Ludvik Ondrej Buried Saturday
Ludvik V. Ondrej, 81, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 after an illness of two years. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Catholic Church, Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery, Aderhold Funeral Home in charge.
Born in Moravia, Czechoslovakia, Mr. Ondrej came to the United States at the age of two, settling in Fayetteville. After the death of his first wife in 1892, he moved to West. In 1894 he married the former Miss Barbara Houdek, who passed away in 1924.
Surviving are a son, Henry Ondrej; two daughters, Mrs. Vinc Hutyra and Mrs. Janie Kaska, all of West; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Rosa Mikolas, West Columbia, Mrs. Vinc Zapalac, Ellinger, Miss Carolina Ondrej, Mrs. J.F. Stibora, Mrs. J.F. Koebelen, Mrs. C.A. Koebelen, Rosenberg; two brothers, Elo Ondrej, Rosenberg, Henry Ondrej, Richmond.
