James W.Ayers, 75 years old, died at the family home, 715 N. Monroe street at 4:15 Sunday afternoon. Mr.Ayers has been suffering for a years with a complication of diseases. He was born in Grant county,Ky. March 8, 1837. He was a member of the Central church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife and four children,Mrs.Luela Burgess of Oreana, Ill, Mrs.Allie Williams of Luther, La.,Mrs.M.C.Rambo of this city and W.F.Ayers of New Lenox, Ill.
Funeral arrangements will be made on arrival of the son. Friends are requested not to send flowers.
