Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home. Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will stand honor guard from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m. Friday followed by VFW Post 428 at 6:30, Knights of Columbus Council 961 and St. Joseph's Society prayers at 7:30 and St. Cloud Eagles Club at 8:30.
Mr. Ramler was born Jan. 23, 1895, in Farming to the late Bernard and Mary (Willenbring) Ramler. He married Verena Rothstein Sept. 6, 1927, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church and had been a resident of St. Cloud since his marriage. He served as deputy register of deeds at Stearns County Courthouse in June 1914, was Stearns County deputy auditor in 1922 and was Stearns County auditor from 1937 until his retirement in 1967. He served in England and southern France during World War I and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 961, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Joseph's Society, St. Cloud Eagles Club and life-member of VFW Post 428.
Survivors include his wife; daughter and sons, Ginny, James and Donald, St. Cloud; Marlin, Edina; Gerald, Spencer, Iowa; stepbrother and stepsister, Alphonse, Richmond; Elenora, St. Paul, and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Peter Lahr, Arnie Hinnenkamp, Harry Burns, Cyril Wenner, Ralph Kollmann and Thomas Winter.
Memorials are preferred.
