Services for Carmela Serio Cannon Dauman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Karl Daigle and Father Charles Glorioso. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation at Rose-Neath Marshall Street will be Monday, November 16, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Carmela, known as "Mae", died on November 15, 2009 at Grace Home. She was born in Shreveport, LA on September 24, 1926.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Charles Serio, Camille Serio, Tony Serio; sisters Lucille Britt, Frances Burnley, Mary Bindo, and Rose Gray. Mae is survived by her sons Arnold Cannon and wife, Betty; Al Cannon and wife, Barbie; daughter Carol Gore and husband Merle; her brother and sister-in-law Vince and Bobbye Serio; her sisters Sara Carbone and Teresa Emerson; grandchildren John Cannon and wife Erin, Matthew Cannon, Dillon Cannon, Cade Cannon, Allison Cannon, Jennifer Morrison Miller, Christopher Morrison and wife Brandi, Chase Gore, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Grace Home and Dr. Christopher Snead at the Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center for their love and professional care given to Mae.
