She married Merle E. Tinkle on March 11, 1967. He survives.
Janie retired from RCA after 33 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the RCA Sympathy Club, the Dana Sympathy Club and the Pleasant Township Ladies Auxiliary. She taught Catechism classes at St. Paul Catholic Church.
