James Richard Sutton, 77, Marion, died at 12:45 am, Thursday, March 20, 2008. He was born in Marion, Indiana to the late James and Lillian (Hanley) Sutton. He married Doris (Robbins) Roe on May 5, 1995. She survives.

Richard retired from Thomson Consumer Electronics in 1992 after more than 25 years and served two years in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was involved in genealogy and was a member of Sons of America Revolution Continental Chapter and was active in the Wysong Family where he had served as President and Board Member.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Sutton, Marion; children, Michael Sutton, Marion, Pat Fralix, Henderson, Nev., David (Stacey) Sutton, Tucson, Ariz., Nancy Griffin, Marion, Kelly Sutton, Marion, Joseph Sutton, Nashville, Tenn.; siblings, Shirley (Kenny) Nelson, Kokomo, Mary Jane (Merle) Tinkle, Sweetser; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Holloway.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in the St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion with the Rev. David Newton officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park, Marion
