Thelma Yarnell, 89, a longtime Erie resident, died at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at Arkhaven Nursing Home in Erie. She had been in failing health for the last few months.

She was born October 16, in Erie, to Norman and Lotte (Blair) Crumrine. She grew up in Erie and was a lifetime resident there.

She married Virgil W. Yarnell on March 8, 933, in Erie. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1995.

She was a member of the Church of God in Parsons. She also attended Temple Baptist Church in Erie. She enjoyed reading and cooking.

Mrs Yarnell is survived by one brother, Calvin Crumrine of Klamath Falls, Oregon; one sister, Imogene Springer of Grove, Oklahoma; and several nieces and ne[hews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. The service will be at 11: a.m.., Monday at the Temple Baptist Church in Erie. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home of Erie. Memorials are suggested to Temple Baptist Church.
