A native of Cleveland County, he retired from Doran Textiles after 39 years and later worked for five years for Cleveland Community College.
He was a member of Waco Baptist Church and served with the Cleveland County Sheriff´s Reserve for eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Mary Fredell Campbell Sr.; mother- and father-in-law, Jack Olen and Mildred Green Hughes; brothers, J.R. Campbell, Bud Campbell and Scott Campbell Jr.; and a sister, Laura Ann Campbell.
