FORMER RESIDENT IS DEAD IN IOWA

Remains of David Russell
To Be Shipped to Waldron for Burial

Word was received here today of the death of David Russell, 82, a former resident of this county, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Viva Bolen, in Des Moines, Iowa, yesterday morning at 11 o'clock. The body will be shipped to this city, arriving here tomorrow morning and the funeral services will probably be held at the Waldron M.E. Church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be made in the Ogden cemetery in charge of Stewart & Fix, of this city.
Mr. Russell's death was due to a stroke of paralysis which he suffered a short time ago. He was formerly a well known resident of the Waldron community, having resided there until four years ago when he left this county to make his home with his daughter.
He is survived by eight children, who are Thomas and James Russell, Mrs. D.C. [Martha E.] Smith and Mrs. Minnie Greer, all of Frankfort, Indiana; John Russell of Indianapolis; Will Russell, of Greensburg; Jean Russell, of Hope, and the daughter in Iowa. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters whose names could not be learned.
