DIED.
WANNALL. Suddenly, on Friday, April 2, 1897, at 8:35 p.m., at her residence, 1916 13th street, Mary A., widow of Charles P. Wannall and mother of Mrs. E. P. Goodrich. Funeral services at the house on Monday, April 5, at 2 p.m.

Nothing is known about her early years, who her parents were, or whether she had any siblings. She did list on census records that she was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She married Charles P. Wannall in 1852, and had one child, a daughter, Lizzy Maury Wannall. Lizzy married and also had only one child.

Mary died in April 1897 and was buried alongside her husband in Oak Hill Cemetery, Georgetown, Washington DC. There is no stone for her or her husband but a large stone for Charles sister Mary, who is buried besides them. The same plots contain their daughter Lizzy, her husband Edward Goodrich, also Lizzie's son Charles Goodrich and his wife Caroline.
