MRS. PHILLIP STICE, 92, DEAD
Had Been a Resident of the Bible Grove Vicinity Since 1869
Mrs. Phillip Stice, 92 years old died Thursday at her home near Bible Grove. Services were held Sunday. She was a member of the Coffey church.
She was born in Morgan county, Ky., Dec. 13, 1841, and taught school there before coming to Missouri at the age of 27 years. She was also married to a man named Hodges living in Kentucky.
She was married to Phillip Stice near Bible Grove Dec. 11, 1869, and he survives her. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. N.E. Davis, of Washington, D.C.; Dr. T. L. Hodges, of Little Rock, Ark.; H.N. and Frank Stice, of Downing; R.J. Stice, of American Fork, Utah; Miss Ella Stice at home, L.G. Stice, of Fallon, Nevada, and J. Stice of Palisade, Idaho, one brother, W.C. Humphrey of Kahoka, 26 grandchildren and 14 great grand children.
