EMERY DUFRAIN

Emery DuFrain was born December 2, 1894 at Emerson, Nebraska and departed this life January 4, 1950 at Basin, Wyoming. He was the youngest son of Louis and Agnes DuFrain. At the early age, he moved to Kansas with his parents. When he was ten, the family moved to Cloud County, Kansas. It was here that he grew to manhood.

He was united in marriage to Pearl Tanzer September 28, 1916. To this union were born two children; one died in infancy and the other, Mrs. Joseph Ryan lives in Garden Grove, California.

He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren of Garden Grove, California; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Smith and Mrs. C. A. Proctor (Malina) both of Miltonvale, Kansas and a brother, Phillip DuFrain of Topeka, Kansas. In addition to these are nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral service was held at the Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale, Kansas on Sunday afternoon, January 15th at 2:30 o'clock. In charge was Lloyd Taylor. Burial was in the Miltonvale Cemetery.
