Mrs. Barbara Moore Tracy

Mrs. Barbara Moore Tracy, 67, of 6 Andrea Court, S. W. died Sunday morning at a local hospital.

Mrs. Tracy was born Feb. 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Archie Culpepper and Ona Cook Culpepper. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon L. Moore, on Jan. 1, 1995.

Mrs. Tracy was a member of West Rome Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School both at West Rome and Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was currently the teacher in the Hannah Sunday School Class at West Rome
Baptist Church, and was a member of the sanctuary choir. She was a graduate of McHenry High School and was active in various garden clubs through the years.

Prior to her retirement, she was secretary to the personnel director at Northwest Regional Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, H. E. "Dick" Tracy, to whom she was married Aug. 17, 1996; two sons. Stephen L. Moore, Rome and Gregory N. Moore, Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; one brother, Marvin M. "Buddy" Culpepper, Rome; two sisters, Montine
Bohannon, Rome, and Wanda Ingram, Rome; one granddaughter, Meredith Joy Moore, Rome; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at West Rome Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Bridges, the Rev. Billy Murdock, and the Rev. Ken Oates officiating.
Interment will be in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Tracy will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at Daniel's Funeral Home today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Pallbearers will be Paul Hardy, Sam "Red" Byrd, C. L. Tate, Henry Burks, Bob
Johnson and Hugh Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Sapp, Glenn Conway and Fowler Cole. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1800 Water Place, Suite 245, Atlanta, Ga., 30339, or to the music department at West Rome Baptist Church, 914 Shorter Ave.
