Lucille Sadler Belk, 90, of Bowling Green, died at 5 p.m. Dec. 2, 2009, at a Bowling Green nursing home.
The Warren County native was born Nov. 13, 1919. She was a housewife and mother and kept children for at least 40 years. She was a member of Three Springs Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late William Burkett Sadler and Kate Jent Sadler and the wife of the late James Earl Belk. She was preceded in death by her beloved stepmother, Ida Sadler; and two brothers, James and Walter Sadler.
Survivors include a son, Bob "Dudie" Belk and his wife, Margaret, of Bowling Green; three granddaughters, Tammy Stubblefield and her husband, Joe, Tina Hudgins and her husband, Bruce, and Tonya Thomas and her husband, Steve; four great-grandchildren, Jacquline McDonald and her husband, Shane, Shayna Stubblefield, Tyler Thomas and Haley Thomas; three great-great-grandchildren, Diamond McDonald, Makenzie McDonald and Michael McDonald; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Plano Baptist Church Cemetery.
