Please share your memories with the family at their online guest book at www.vbkfuneralhome.com.

Very well known by the Amateur Radio community. One of the best cw operators around. Also was a net control for the local Tuesday night ham net for many years. He enjoyed meeting the locals for breakfast. Very active in the hobby.

From W9BWC - I will always remember in the 90's his tender and loving treatment of his beloved Elsie in her decline - he would use our Club's semi-private 2-meter radio repeater which had access to the telephone system to call home and check in with her - we hams could all hear the conversation between them, her very weak voice and his obvious love and concern. It makes me happy to think of them now meeting again and celebrating the outcomes of their lives together. Woody is now what we call a "SK" (silent key) and that is a wonderfully accurate description of a man of such unsurpassed skill at the key. 73's dear friend Jim W9BWC
