Burnsville - Edith Hamby Boone, 85, of Windom, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, in Yancey Nursing Center.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Zack and Annie Hamby.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Fleet and Jimmy Hamby; three sisters, Phyllis Huskins, Gladys Riddle and Connie Morgan; and a grandson, Teddy Gowan.
She was a member of Mount Mitchell Baptist Church.
The graveside services will be held in Robinson Cemetery.
