Bernhard Duchow, 78, passed away at 5 p.m. Monday, at his home in Potter following a lingering illness. He was born Nov. 21, 1872, in the town of Rantoul and was married Sept 18, 1900, to Miss Amelia Kiesow. The couple lived on a farm near Collins until 1944 when they moved to Potter. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1950.
Survivors include his wife; seven daughters, Mrs. Ben Krueger of Collins, Mrs. Fred. Wagner and Mrs. Lester Pagel of Chilton, Mrs. Carl Worline of Palo Alto, Calif., Mrs. Amelia Tschantz and Mrs. Josephine Goldsmith of Milwaukee and Mrs. Everett Boetcher of Fremont; four sons, Ben of Chilton, Harold of Hilbert, George of Milwaukee and Arthur of Burlington; 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Adolph of Collins and Ervin of Chilton; and two sisters, Mrs. William Schmit of Valders and Mrs. Herman Kletzien of Louis Corners. Three children preceded him in death.
