Funeral services for Otto Soukop, 76, Shelby, were held at the Lutheran church in Shelby at 2 p.m. yesterday (Thursday) with Rev. Stanley Carlsen officiating. Burial was in the Shelby Cemetery. He died at Irwin, Iowa on Monday.
Mr. Soukop is survived by a brother, William of Oskaloosa, Iowa; a sister, Freada Walters of Davenport, Iowa; and two daughters, Mrs. G. E. (Bernice) Albertus of Persia, Iowa and Mrs. Floyd (Frances) Freads of Shelby, Iowa; and two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna; a brother, Grover of Davenport, Iowa; and his wife, Dora (Stuhr) Soukop. He was born November 12, 1875 in Scott County, Iowa.
