"Soldier shot during exercise"
An inquest was held at the town hall, on Wednesday, on the body of Pte. Lloyd George Ellerbeck (31) who was living at Tottenham, and stationed at Dover, who was shot during a company exercise in the 31st January.
The Borough Coroner (Lambert) conducted the inquest without jury.
Major Patrick Julian Henderson gave evidence of identification, and said the deceased was in his company, and had returned from Burma. ... there was a penetrating wound on the right abdomen with no exit wound. Death was due to internal hemmorhage.
