Gladys Ritchie Rees, 90, Manor Care Health Services, 3518 S. Lafountain, died at 5:30, a.m. Wednesday, Sept 1, 1999 at the facility. Born Aug. 12, 1909, in Charleston, Illinois, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Stanford) Reynolds. She was married to Fred Ritchie, who passed away in 1972, then married Harold Rees, who passed away in 1983. She was a homemaker, and past president of Howard County Home Rees Demonstration Club. She was a member of Howard County War Mothers. She was very active at Mt Gilead Baptist Church in Hemlock, and she also attended Church of One Accord in Kokomo.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Donald and Jean Ritchie (BAGBY) Sr, Indianapolis; Bob and Rebecca Ritchie and Rex and Linda Ritchie, all of Kokomo; Tom Ritchie, Dallas, Texas;

two step-sons and wives, Marvin and Kay Rees, Greentown; Dick and Jan Rees, Willard, Ohio;

a sister, Juanita Young, Homosassa Springs, Fla.; sister-in-law, Mildred Reynolds, Kokomo;

sixteen grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Jesse, Ed, Claude, and Bert Reynolds.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt Gilead Baptist Church, Hemlock. Pastor L. Scott Butzin will officiate. Burial will be in Albright Cemetery, Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at . Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, 725 S, Main St, Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the building fund of the Church of One Accord of Kokomo or Mt Gilead Baptist Church, Hemlock.
