Mrs. Christine E. Schaf, 58, wife of John Schaf, 1734 N. 9th street, passed away on Friday as the result of a heart attack.
She was born in Calumet county on March 15, 1885, the daughter of Fred and Catherine Entringer.
With her parents she came to Sheboygan as a child and attended St Peter Claver parochial school and was confirmed at St. Peter Claver church.
Previous to her marriage she was a linotype operator for the Sheboygan Journal. On October 3, 1909, she was married to John Schaf. She was a member of the Holy Name church, the St Ann's Altar and Mothers' society and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
The survivors are her husband, three children, Raymond, and Mrs. Eugene Miley, both of Sheboygan, and Sgt Stanley Schaf, Fort Devens, Mass.; seven grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Nick Entringer, Bismarck, N. Dak.; Mrs. John Dietz, Wahpeton, N. Dak.; Mrs. Frank Bersch, Sr., Sheboygan; Mrs. Norbert Stoelb, Sheboygan, and Mrs. Matt Jacobchick, Milwaukee. One daughter,
Leona, passed away In 1923.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday morning at 8:30 from the Ballhorn Funeral chapels and at 9 o'clock at Holy Name church, Rev. Edward Ziegler officiating. Burial will be In the family lot in Calvary cemetery.
The body may be viewed beginning Sunday noon.
