Lucinda (Lou) DeFee nee Wood...Daughter of Jesse Gray Wood and Elizabeth Crauswell. She and Andrew Jackson DeFee were married 28 Jan 1867, China Grove, Pike Co, Ala....Marriage Book 5, page #663. All of their children are buried here in Aberfoil Community Cemetery. Have an old tin plate photo of this couple. From writing on the back, they were known as "Jack and Lou". Circa abt. 1880. Andrew was a brother of my Great Grandfather, Green Pinkham DeFee. He is buried in Kingston Cemetery, Hunt County, Texas along with his wife Margaret Anna DeFee nee Carr.
The parents of Lucinda's mother was, Eli Crauswell, born 22 Aug 1795, S.C. and Elizabeth Nancy Smith, born 2 May 1800,S.C.
Lucinda and Andrew had the following children:

Cora Lee DeFee, born 27 Oct 1867,Ala., died 7 Aug 1952, Ala.
Lola Zella DeFee, born 2 Jul 1869,Ala. died 27 Jun 1954, Ala.
Elizabeth Texas DeFee, born 18 Jun 1871,Ala, died 23 Dec 1939, Ala.
Eugene Buford DeFee, born 29 Oct 1872, Ala, died 17 Sep 1938,Ala. Married to a Susie M. DeFee(1920 Census) age 31.
One daughter was listed, Elizabeth M. DeFee, age 8.
Emma Grace DeFee, Born 31 Oct 1874,Ala,died 7 Aug 1955,Ala.
On 1920 Bullock Co. Census...Married to Herschel V. Swanson, born 6 Mar 1873. The following children were listed: Annie G. Swanson, age 17...Mary W. Swanson, age 11.
Frances E. Swanson, age 4. They are living in Midway, Bullock Co, Ala.
On same Census is Andrew Jackson DeFee and he is living alone.
